Le gala des prix Grammy se tiendra le 15 février prochain, bizarrement un lundi cette année. La cérémonie se tiendra, comme à l’habitude, au Staples Center à Los Angeles en Californie. Il s’agit de la 58e édition de l’événement et pour une cinquième année consécutive, fidèle au poste, c’est LL Cool J qui animera la soirée.
Le gala est aussi plutôt reconnu comme étant un gala « spectacle » plutôt qu’une remise de prix. Cette année encore, une trentaine d’artistes monteront sur scène le temps d’une performance ou d’un hommage.
Parmi eux, notamment, Lady Gaga rendra hommage à feu-David Bowie, alors que la formation originale des Eagles se réunira exceptionnellement sur scène pour leur défunt guitariste et co-fondateur, Glenn Frey. Dans le rayon des hommages, BB King sera lui aussi honoré, par Chris Stapleton, Gary Clark Jr. et Bonnie Raitt.
Pour le reste, il y en aura pour tous les goûts, de la pop au rap, en passant, évidemment par le country. Adele effectuera son retour sur scène, alors que Kendrick Lamar, grand favori de la soirée côté nominations, offrira lui aussi une prestation, tout comme The Weeknd. On aura aussi la chance de voir le « supergroupe » Hollywood Vampires, formé de Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp et Joe Perry.
