Weird Al Yankovic au Bluesfest d'Ottawa en 2015... et à Osheaga ?

Voilà un premier nom de confirmé en vue du Bluesfest d’Ottawa 2015 : Weird Al Yankovic sera de la partie.


Weird Al a dévoilé ce matin les dates d’une imposante tournée mondiale qui débutera par une série de 5 shows au Planet Hollywood de Las Vegas, et le mènera à visiter 74 villes nord-américaines de mai à septembre, avant de prendre le chemin de l’Europe. On y retrouve notamment un spectacle au Bluesfest d’Ottawa le 19 juillet, soirée de clôture du festival.


Et Osheaga ?


Si l’on se fie à cette liste publiée sur le site web de l’artiste, aucune date n’est à prévoir pour le Québec, malheureusement. Du moins, pour l’instant.

And secondly… you may have noticed there are a few holes in my otherwise packed touring schedule. This is because some dates haven’t been completely confirmed (like the Australia / NZ dates), and some dates we’re not allowed to announce yet for various legal/contractual reasons. All I can say is, please be patient… don’t give up hope quite yet… there are still a few more 2015 tour dates to be announced.


Il ne faut donc pas désespérer. Après tout, il y a un joli trou entre le 26 juillet et le 4 août, entre un spectacle à Portland dans le Maine, et un autre à New Bedford dans le Connecticut. Weird Al serait donc disponible (et pas très loin) pour prendre part à Osheaga, qui se déroule du 31 juillet au 2 août au Parc Jean-Drapeau, à Montréal


Le plus récent album de Weird Al Yankovic, Mandatory Fun, était lancé en juillet dernier, et atteignait le sommet du palmarès Billboard, une première en 30 ans de carrière. Le disque est d’ailleurs en nomination pour le Comedy Album of the Year au prochain gala des prix Grammy.
